Historically, Amherst was known as the most progressive town in Nova Scotia and is situated on the Intercolonial, midway between Halifax and St. John. Our interesting town has strong roots, unique architecture and beautiful homes, waiting to tell their stories. Jane’s Walk Amherst is organized by the Culture, History and Heritage Group of Amherst.
