Brampton 2040 Vision
Date: May 27th, 2025
Time: 5:00 – 5:40PM
Meeting Location/Starting Point: Brampton City Hall (2 Wellington Street West)
Description:
Join us for a Jane’s Walk tour as we reimagine Ken Whillans and Garden Squares — two key public spaces in the heart of our city!
This year’s walk is inspired by the theme of “Public Spaces for a Vibrant Downtown.” Together, we will explore the past, present, and future potential of these civic spaces, and discuss how thoughtful design can create inclusive, flexible places that bring people together for everyday life, celebrations, and major events.
The walk is also connected to the ongoing Ken Whillans and Garden Squares Design Competition, offering participants a unique opportunity to share ideas help shape the next chapter of Downtown Brampton.

The creek has controlled the city since day 1. Everything has been built around this river that can turn savage in a single day. Now it’s being tamed to match expansion of the downtown area. A flood plain that has controlled the lives of many. See how nature and humans can coexist.
